10/13/14 Review of vocabulary (sum, difference, product, quotient, ect...)
For example:
1) the sum of -8 & -9
2) product of -15 & 3
3) sum of 12 & -10
4) quotient of 42 & 6
Game: Chocolate Math
1) How many times would you like to eat chocolate a week (# has to be between 1-9)
2) multiply by 2
3) add 5
4) multiply by 50
5) If you had your birthday already this year add 1758. If you have not add 1757.
6) Subtract the year you were born.
7) You should have a 3 digit #. The first digit is your original number. The second 2 digits give you your age.

New vocabulary-
Rate: a ration/fraction that compares 2 quantities measured in different units. Ex: heart rate (heart beat & time), interest rate ($ & time), hotel rates ($ & time), speed (distance and time)
Unit Rate: A rate in which the second quantity in the comparison is one unit. Ex: Speed (MPH), heart rate (beats per minute), gas price ($ per gallon), PSI (pressure per square inch), produce/poke ($ per pound)
In class chart activity:
I have 520 followers on Instagram. If I gain 12 each month how many will I have in 6 months?
For example:
